Stock Bios settings for X58 UD5
« on: October 26, 2009, 10:59:10 am »
Hi, I'm what you can call mostly a complete newbie when it comes to tweaking your bios to get the most stable settings. I recently purchased an X58 UD5, along with 3 x 2 GB sticks of Corsair 1333 MHz DDR3, and a core i7 920. Now, I’m not looking to overclock, but I’ve been told manual settings in the BIOS are preferable to using the defaults provided with the motherboard.

I was wondering if anyone has any useful tips for how to do this, I know no two motherboards or processors are completely alike, but some general idea on what settings I should choose is very welcome, alternatively perhaps a link to a beginners guide for this? I’ve had some difficulty finding this googling.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
