gigabyte gtx 560 ti oc running bad company 2 below 30 fps

Hello to everyone....! I have exactly the same problem with all the others who have a core 2 duo! I play the game from 20 to 50 fps so the game is a little bit unplayable....I would like to help me because I've read so much and I am a little bit confused....!
here is my rig:
cpu: intel core 2 duo E8300 @ 2,83 ghz (L2 6mb!)
gpu: gigabyte gtx 560 ti
mobo: gigabyte ep35c-ds3r (p35 chipset)
I want to run my bad company 2 with res: 1920X1080 (high details)
I know that my problem is bottleneck! So I have 2 choices.... upgrade only the processor to a core 2 quad, or upgrade mobo, ram and cpu! I don't have now so much money to spent so lets see the first solution which is... buy a quad core q8300 or q8400 with lower speed and less L2 cache memory (only 4 mb) comparing with my core 2 duo e8300 . I have read so much about all these people who said that they have a core 2 quad and they have no problems, but nobody sais which graphics card he has and the number of the fps he play the game. Apart from that nobody said about these two models of core 2 quad (q8300, q8400). I have heard a lot for q6000 or the q9000 series of intel quad cores but these have 6 or 12 mb L2 cache!!! The only quad cores which I can find in a shop here are these 2 models with 4MB L2. If I do not making a mistake I think that intel has stopped producing processors for 775 socket! So my question is: does the core 2 quad e8400 worth 145 euros to spent; The answer is yes for me only if there is not a botlleneck with this cpu that keeps me bellow 30 fps. Thank you for your help!!! P.S even if I set the details in mid or low there is no so much difference....!
