ON/OFF Charge Not Functioning X58A-UD5

ON/OFF Charge Not Functioning X58A-UD5
« on: September 27, 2011, 10:13:54 pm »
Windows 7 Pro SP1 + Updates
Motherboard is X58a-UD5 (rev2.0)
BIOS Version = FD
PSU Coolermaster 700w Silent Pro
ON/Off Charge Utility Version B11.0905.1 (22 Sept 2011)

As stated in the title, I can't get the ON/OFF Charge to work (ie when Off or in Standby).

Would like to charge my Nokia E72 as my charger is broken and have been leaving the comp on overnight.

Any ideas?

PS tried changing Advanced Power/USB settings/USB Selective suspend setting/ - Disablen and Enabled. Still no go.

Hi

I can only suggest that you try a different BIOS version to see if that helps. See if there is an updated version for your board. Apart from that I can't see any reason for it not to work.

Have you installed the ON/OFF drivers ?

  "Quote off Gigabyte promo screen"

With a simple On/Off Charge driver update, GIGABYTE motherboard users are able to take full advantage of USB charging of their iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, giving them more options and convenience when recharging their new device.

*    Due to certain mobile phone limitations, users may need to connect the mobile phone to their PC before the PC
enters S4/S5 mode to enable a quick charge from non ON/OFF Charge USB ports.

*    Maximum 3 devices can be charged at the same time. Charging current may vary with PSU 5V stand-by spec.

On/Off Charge driver download

When you install the ON/OFF charge driver, please update the latest BIOS version for the best product efficiency.

Aussie Allan.... UPDATE,   As far as I know....your PSU must support...... "at least 1Watt of power in it's XX state"
