MA790XT-UD4P does not recognizes any USB on boot.

I have that mother, on start up i have a USB Keyboard and a USB LinuxOS, all was working OK for a good time, but yesterday i had to do some hardware modifications. When i switch on the PC it says something like the BIOS have some kind of issue, and starts to recover it. All good. But now when i try to use the keybord it doesnt respond to anything, and the OS never loads..., its says "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER"...

Im starting to think that all giga mother have serious issues with the USB...

Hi there,

it sounds as if your system has gone back to it's original state. The reason you can't BOOT is probably because the BOOT priority needs resetting in BIOS. Do you have a PS/2 keyboard that you can use to get into BIOS (if your USB Keyboard isn't working) to make changes?

It would also be a good idea if you check that your mouse, keyboard and external USB components are working and haven't developed a problem.

What hardware changes did you make?

ITs a mining rig, and just add another video card, i think i have to find some ps2 keybord so....

pleased you have sorted the problem and I always keep a PS/2 keyboard, at hand, for just such eventualities as I have found them to be a little more robust than USB keyboards when it comes to getting into BIOS.
