Re; SiSoft Sandra

I was just wondering how accurate is SiSoft Sandra?
Its just that it says my ram chips were made on "Sunday 26th 2017',  so were they sent back from the future? (did they use the De Lorean ?)
Also it says my CPU is running at 4.2GHz, "Intel" says 3.88, "Everest" says 3.4?.
So who is right, is there a program out there that will give me a more accurate diagnostic of my system?
I will admit it is the free version but I do not wish to purchase it if it gives faulty info.
One more thing (sorry to be a pest) I am running both my HDD's via Intel & my DVD,Blu Ray via the Marvell chip is this okay?

Hi Ben,

To cover your second question first, that should be perfect and if you are using the X58 chipset it is the only way to run.

Make sure that all your programs for reporting are the latest up to date ones or this is the type of fault that can happen. You have to go at an extremely fast speed to time travel so your memory must be really fast...where did you get it ?

My board is a "GA-Z68X-UD3R-B3".
From a computer shop called "MSY" over here, pretty common shop, sells products cheap, people behind the desk have blank expressionless faces.
Sort of like a mini warehouse really.

  9 out 10 ,...believe what BIOS (System Health) tells you .... when new boards and CPUs hit, ....they too have to go away and tweak there software....this is why reported temps, speeds can be hit and miss.

  Download several , ....pick which one reports the most accurately......then buy!

Thanks for the quick reply, I wasn't to sure about the Marvell.
Methinks the chips where from China as that is what is written on them.
They cost me $44 a pair so for 4 modules $88 all up (Kingston DDR3 1600 HyperX Blue 4GB Kit(2Gx2) CL9).
Is that cheap or pretty standard pricing?

  £44AU is very good .... but as you seem to be using 2 matched kits can give problems ....1 kit of 8Gb dimms do cost more but are tested as a set

  Buying and using 2 kits....well there just guaranteed to work together in a single system....have seen those kits as high as £75 but they seem to be limited to the southern Hemisphere

Agreed! Many people end up having memory problems due to not purchasing the correct matched kits and expecting ordinary standard modules to work as a team which if you are lucky thet will do but it is a gamble.
