GA-880GMA-USB3 Etron USB 3.0 Driver ver 105 problem

anyone else having a problem with Etron USB 3.0 Driver ver 105
i have WD my book 3tb only this usb device currently using, every couple of min's drive would drop
out msg saying usb3 drive not found and about min it's back

here is what i did to fix this revert back to driver ver 104

just wondering if someone got ver 105 to work

GA-880GMA-USB3
AMD PH II 1055t 2.8 GHz
Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 16GB
Samsung HD145UI 1.5TB
WD My Book Essential 3 TB USB 3.0
LG DVDRAM
HAF X case

Hi and welcome.

I suspect that it is nothing to do with the USB connection at all but is probably a "Green" drive that is in the enclosure and if it is they keep trying to power down to save energy. I don't know what you can do, if anything, to stop this as it is a feature of the drive.

I had no problems with Etron usb 3 driver ver 104 it's just odd that it worked fine with the old driver I'll stay
at ver 104 will try a newer ver when it comes out to see what happens.

FYI yes it power down before but could still see it as drive J: so i think it's still something to do with etron's driver.

Let's face it. The Etron USB 3.0 Host Controller has serious issues and it is not ready for real world use.  :'(

It is quite often this way. These things get pushed along and find there way onto the market via motherboard manufacturers before they are really ready or tested thoroughly.  A good example of this was the Marvell 9128 controller that was installed on loads of motherboards industry wide when the X58 chipset was released. It was supposed to supply SATA3 support but failed dismally.
