Good for you Allan....I hope you get the recognition you deserve once you have finished the project, again this is going to be very beneficial for all of your existing and new sponsors as Tweaktown is a very popular site not just across the pond.

It's French...."plume de ma tante" as they say Peckham!!!!

It certainly seems to have well thought out plans behind it and quite practical as well which so often isn't the case. ;)

                                                                  LONG OVER DUE UPDATE!

Well it's happened again....My Den....scratch that!......HOUSE ..... is starting to look like a Science lab! .... the new press got used for 4 days before getting a bottle-upgrade to 50 Ton ... the 30 Ton just wasn't cutting it ..... The new thermal material is frustratingly close.....you solve one problem, and another pops up .... bit like a whacking board , I do like working with Diamond powders though ...... it's one material Ive never worked with before in 30 odd years of engineering.

With the advancements in manufacture ... it's finally in the realm of a poor R&D developers reach 8) .... Just one method that is seeing backyard operations popping up all over China is detonation synthesis, In this process, nanometer-sized diamond grains are created in a detonation of carbon-containing explosives in a heavy walled chamber..... to give you an idea why diamond is so cool........thermal conductivity is generally measured in Wm/k....Copper (Cu) is pretty good at about 406.........Silver (Ag) is excellent at 426 Wm/k ........Synthetic Diamond, depending on purity is 2000 to 3500 Wm/k ........with virtually no thermal expansion......well worth pursuing.

The quad Peltier water blocks are finished and in the parts box,  the humidity enclosure is taking shape, but is work in progress, as is the home brew thermal (Ultra low temp) compound .... a fellow forum member is having a little look at the MK1 formulation ....will be interesting on what he thinks!

I haven't been on the forum very much with so much to do .... but I do try and check in from time to time, it's good that it's been rather quiet lately.

I'll keep you informed as to any major developments.
