BSoD while playing FIFA 12

BSoD while playing FIFA 12
« on: November 09, 2011, 09:19:39 am »
Hello,

Recently, I have purchased new PC... But, I can't complete one match in FIFA 12 as I got BSoD.. I have tracked the dmp files of the error that cause this problem and attached the log file..

I have searched over the Internet and updated my Graphics card drivers to the latest version but still face the same problem..

My PC Details:
Gigabyte EP43T-UD3L
Intel Core2Quad Q9550
8.00GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GT 430
Windows XP Pro SP x64

Thanks in advance for helping...

Hi and welcome.

What exactly was the BSOD STOP code as that would help to determine the problems cause.

I suspect that it could be down to the graphics card/drivers so it might be worth updating them.

Thanks for your reply, I have attached the log file of BSoD in the main topic. Also, I have updated my Graphics Card driver to the latest version but still have the same problem..

In that case try using an older graphics driver before version 275. There were a lot of problems with the last few.

But I was using old drivers which came originally with the Graphics Card and got the same matter.

Friends,

I am still searching for a solution,,

I just wondering if it can be PSU problem? I know that when I play 3D games the load in GFX cards will be the highest and so this will need more power. The same apply for CPU.. Is that possible?

My Power still new but I think it's not common or famous (Magic 600 Watt)

Any ideas?

Hi there,

looking at you dmp_log it would seem as if the problem is with the graphics driver, as it shows the error to be due to: nv4_disp.dll This is part of the NVidia drivers package.

Best advice I can offer (as I don't use NVidia cards myself) is to fully remove the current NVidia drivers and then use Revo uninstaller or a similar programme to make sure that all traces have been fully removed.

Once you are happy that the existing drivers have been fully removed then reinstall the latest drivers from NVidia.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

I already did that, but no effect..

Finally, I think I found the reason...

I have removed one RAM slot and keep only one.. It works great and without BSoD !!

I don't know where is the matter, DDR3 RAM is still new !!

Thank anyway for your help, and if anyone understand why that happened please tell me!!
