HELP PLEASE!

I `ve just received a new graphic card. My pc was out of power for like 10 days. And now  when I start it, it starts and then suddenly shuts off.  It was fully functional for 10 days ago. What is wrong now. I `ve tried without graphic card, and the same thing happens.  wHAT IS GOING ON ??

Hi Supernova and welcome to the forum.

I don't know how much PC knowledge you have...so here goes. Do you have a known good spare PSU or does a friend? Also, could you list your system specification so we can help you get to the bottom of this issue?

Is there much dust within the case/chassis?

Have you made sure that you have reconnected the extra power cables to the GPU and the 12v near the CPU ?

 ISSUE SOLVED !  I`ve totally forgot to connect the mainboard.

Hi,

Glad you solved your issue, a general rule could be:

Connections - to MB, DVD etc

Configuratioms - BIOS etc


Components - PSU, memory etc

The thing is if you have got all the basics right in the first place then it is normally just a configuration problem.
