hi,

i own a Z68MA-D2H with a 3570K (F10)

i am not sure if this has been asked before but is there an official confirmation that all mobo's (those supporting current ivy cpu's)
will receive a bios update for a K unlock ?

if so, is there a time window for this? is there anything we can do ?
(happy to test a beta as long as if it fails it can be removed or if you can send me a spare board :)  )

thank you !

Hi

I would suggest contacting GGTS for the answer to that as we don't have access to that sort of information here on the forum.

Please expect several days for a reply.

Heads up for Speedfan users that are considering the EFI upgrade for Sandy Bridge boards: After upgrading to U1B om my Z68XP-UD4 Speedfan consistenly BSODs.
Besides the loss of some OC funtionality it's been working smooth. One improvement over the legacy Bios is that the my IDE DVD-R drive connected via a IDE-to-SATA adaptor is consistently detected now, which was not the case before: it spent 30 sec looking for the device until giving up whenever doing a warm re-boot. Looking forward to further upgrades.
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4, Intel i5-2500k @ 4.2GHz 1.27v, 2x4GB Corsair Venegence LP White 1666MHz 1.35V, Thermalright TRUE Rev. C, Seasonic x-560, Samsung830 128GB, WD Green 1.5TB & 3TB, E-Mu 0404 PCI, Windows 7 64-bit
