[ GV-N560OC-1GI ] Which BIOS ???
« on: December 20, 2011, 02:11:41 pm »
Hi !

I have a GV-N560OC-1GI Rev : 1.0  Bios F21 (0.950V_1.000V)

Which Bios do I have to choose  ???   F6、F13、F22、F31 !!! (http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3707#bios)

I saw many people choosing the F13 to solve some stability problems but I noticed they had F12 initially...  :-\

Edit : In the Zip file I found F6, F13, F23, F32, F41 !  :o

F13 would be the correct update for the F12 firmware.

Normally the BIOS/frimware version for a graphics card are numbered differently from those on a motherboard. For example F1 -F9 is a set of files for one revision of a GPU and then F10 - F19 are for a seperate revision of the card so don't assume that just because the card has the same model number that all firmware files listed will be appropriate for that card.

The correct BIOS update for your card is the F22 version.

I had the original F30 on my Gigabyte 560Ti  before I flashed it to F31, now the BIOS Version reads 70.24.21.00.002 in GPU-Z. I've not had a problem with BF3 since.

I'd flash it to F22 if you already have F21.

I have quite a unique situation here. i updated my bios version using that utility mentioned above. It flashed the bios fine, did its thing and what not. a week later or so my gfx card died quitely (gfx glitches when playing bf3 and skyrim, not sure if it was related to the bios upgrade or not) so i took it back to the supplier since it was under warrenty, they gave me a new one, and now im still trying to fix the crashes im getting when playing battlefield 3, so im trying to update the bios again, but when i run the app, it says i have the latest bios version already. Is this because i flashed the bios for the previous card, and now its keeping the same bios for the new one? (its the exact same model) im currently on F32 according to the GIGABYTE VGA @BIOS app, which one should i upgrade to, if i should upgrade at all? the GIGABYTE VGA @BIOS app allows u to select which file to use to flash the bios with, but i dont know if going form f32 to f41 is the right thing to do.

thanks in advance

If you flashed the firmware on the last card it has nothing to do with this new card. The new card has the latest firmware already installed so there is no point in going down that road. Besides F32 doesn't go on to version F41 anyway, that is an entirely different revision of cards.

thanks for the reply, thats what i thought, just needed to hear it from someone else. pity though because i have no clue how to fix these crashes in BF3 now. ive tried downclocking to 822mhz and upped the voltage by 25mv, but it doesnt help at all.
