Hi both,

If you are getting a BSOD with a STOP code of 0x000000116 it usually means that the northbridge voltage needs to be increased a touch. It couild also be the graphics card is slightly undervoltaged.

Thanks, but i know nothing about clocking. Could my corsair HX620 be to blame? (18A x3) It.s strange because everything works well when i install the latest nvidia driver and then bsod on reboot.

I had already tried a bit more voltage on the card but no luck. Just tried more voltage in the NB but same happens as well. But I think the problems resides somewhere in there. The card is probably faulty, some electronic component is bad, do you guys think that's possible?

Still, it does work with Ubuntu, testing again now. Can Linux be more tolerant to those kind of electric problems for some reason?

edit: while messing with more values in the BIOS I've noticed that manually setting the PCIE frequency to 100 makes the card exhibit the BSOD every time I login, which happened a couple times to me when it was set to auto (BIOS Default). I wonder if that auto setting is not doing the best job and that's why the card fails.

However. I read it's dangerous to increase this value manually, so at this point I really don't want to put anything at risk.

GPU: GIGABYTE GTX 560 OC 1GI (GV-N56GOC-1GI)

Please help! Bios is F21 and I am unable to update to the F61

As has already been mentioned you must try and update with the matching BIOS(firmware) version. If you are running F21 then F22 would be the next logical step not F61 which is relevant to a totally different card revision.

problem is where to find f22, I would greatly appreciate a link

The link is http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3707&dl=1#bios and there's definitley an F23 there as I just checked

Your link is for the GV-N560OC-1GI, not the GV-N56GOC-1GI

I am RMA'ing it and upgrading to a 560Ti from an other manufacturer. No point in beating a dead horse.
