"Warning!, 1 drive detected. BIOS memory allocation full"

Hey folks,
I've searched google and this forum to no avail!

I've installed a LSI SAS 3041E-R which I removed from my old rig. I've updated the BIOS to F4 on my new GA-MA785G-UD3h Rev1 motherboard.

Problem! When I attached any drives to the raid controller, in raid 0 or otherwise, the pc hangs with message " Warning!, 1 drive detected. Bios memory allocation full". I've tried countless things on the mobo, disabling all onboard devices, onboard graphics, PCI graphics card, PCIe graphics card, nothing!

Oh yea, the mobo had F1 bios and the same prob, hence I updated to F4.

I've logged a support request with Gigabyte for what it's worth.

The raid card worked fine in my older rig in it's current form. I've since updated the BIOS on it, and it continues to work with the old rig.

Any ideas, thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Shane.

Did you get anywhere with this one?  I've just seen the same error reported on boot of an MA780G-UD3H board with an AOC-USASLP-L8i card.

The board does have 16GB of DDR2-800 installed and working fine (so long as the AOC-USASLP-L8i is not installed).  It was previously running with only 8GB installed and an AOC-USAS-L8i (full height) card.  I'm uncertain if it's the amount of RAM installed that's causing the BIOS issue.

I have confirmed that the GA-MA780G-UD3H F6A BIOS update addresses this issue.
