Gigabyte H55M-D2H

Hi guys...
Im building desktop for a friend and got all parts but have small problem..
I cant boot it up no matter what i do...

Specs:

I3 540 (used, worked previously)
Gigabyte H55M-D2H rev1.4 (never used, installed from the box)
2x2 Corsair TW3x4G1333C9A G (new)
Thermaltake Silent Purepower 560W (used)
LG dvd rw
WD 250gb sata

now i cant figure out what am i doing wrong...

ive tried
my psu, (Jeantech 500w)
used 1 stick,
used mine stick, (vengance 1600mhz)
reseated cpu,
take mobo out of case thinking that it might have some connection to the case,
cleared cmos...

any other ideas are welcomed...

Hi Gatuso,  

I note that you have not mentioned if you use graphic card of third party.

If you use a Integrated Graphic processor, may sure that Cpu have a IGP .

Have you connected the electrical cable for CPU ? 4 pin cable?
Have you connected properly the little cable from case to the front panel header (on pins)?

When you try and boot exactly what happens ? I take it that there is some sign of life.

What beep code do you get ?

Have you made sure that you have connected the 12v ATX connector near the CPU as well as the 24 pin connector ? Probably an 8 pin.

What are you using for graphics ?

Fir gpu i was using saphire 6850 after i tried to work with integrated gpu.
As for cables and case cables they are all connected..
What happens is when you turn it on it shows lights on mobo, spin the fan and turns off...

I used my psu too..
On thermaltake there is 20+4 pins for mobo and cpu.. So i tought that might br problem..
Than i used mine with 24+ 4 and same thing happened...

Hi Gatuso , 

Before place a Heat Sink Fan on CPU... Have you put a nut of thermal paste on cpu?
Have you intalled Heat Sink Fan? What is the brand and model?

I'm not 100% sure but doesn't the 12v ATX power require an 8 pin on that board ?

When i bought i2500k i got stock cooler with it...
There was a paste on it so i took it off and put my paste just in case...
I tried to power up wiithout fan to see is cpu working, like a sign of heating...
If its mo heating that mean that cpu might be dead but this one is heating...
Now what i noticed is on second pcie left side there are some transistors that when u start mobo get very very hot...
Idk what are they for

If I check this picture, the motherboard have a 4 pin near socket for CPU.

As i said i used both kind of psu 20+4 and 24+4... None of them didnt want to start up...

And now, have you replace a Heat Sink Fan or no?

Have you use a Thermal paste or no before replace HSFan?

What is the situation about HSF and CPU?  This a Intel Stock or third party brands?

You still haven't answered my question regarding the beep codes. What beeps do you get when trying to boot ?

When you say that you tried it without the fan did you mean without the heatsink and fan ?
