Sounds like a direct short to the board?
Check cpu socket for bent or damaged pins.
Make sure 4pin power cable is connected and secure at cpu ( making good contact at connector)
Is heatsink a push pin or mounting bracket behind board?( bracket not shorting board)
Try a different cpu in socket?
Bios up to date?
Trying to help! :)

Cooler is intel stock, push pin...
There is no bent pins on mobo...
Ive take mobo out of case just in case to make sure that there is no connection to the metal case...
No luck

Hi Gatuso,

A few things stand out to me having read the system specification......so here goes:

If your motherboard is fresh out of the box it is likely to have the F1 BIOS.......the first release.....see link below

http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3572#bios

The CPU you want to install requires the F3 BIOS.....see link below:

http://uk.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3572

If you use the Corsair Memory Finder the RAM that you are hoping to use does not appear......please have a look for yourself:

http://www.corsair.com/learn_n_explore/?psu=yes

Also, a PSU of 650w is recommended .

You could either raise a support ticket by contacting GGTS here:

http://uk.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/support-downloads.aspx

And explain your situation of which may take several days but they will reply

OR

Go along to a PC store and ask them to help solve your pc issue

As for a PSU.....have a read of this:

http://blog.corsair.com/?p=4257

At the end of the day the decision and choice is  yours.

Its up to you, being polite, but have a look at this:

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1037&pid=1404&psn=&lid=1&leg=0#

see the bullet point at the bottom.

Getting back to the other matter it might be worthwhile going with either of those options I have mentioned.

Hi Gatuso,

Still no joy......have you heard from Gigabyte yet having submitted a support ticket?

Can you take the MB back to the store and get them to test it......or if it is still under warranty you could rma the motherboard.

Also, have a read through this article...here    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-13-perform-steps-posting-boot-video-problems
