Memory voltage for DDR1600 working @ DDR1333 speed

I got new "Kingston HyperX <KHX1600C9D3K4/16GX> DDR-III DIMM 16Gb KIT 4*4Gb <PC3-12800> CL9" memory for my GA-MA770T-UD3 (rev. 1.1) mobo.
I saw this guide you have stickied about Athlon memory controllers not being able to support more than DDR1333.
The question I have is about the voltage. It says that 1.65v is necessary to get it working at 1600 speed. Speed was set automatically to 1333 and voltage to 1.5. I want to compensate lower speed by lower memory latencies, so I changed them from default 9-9-9-24 to 8-8-8-21 and set voltage to 1.65.
I did pass with memtestx86 without problems on this configuration.

The question is what is recommended voltage in this case of downclocking memory speed, but increased timings?

AMD  use a default of 1.5 voltage on every amd board i have owned since dual core days.    Amd's memory controller on chip is well know until bulldozier for not working well at 1600 with all slots full and now even the bulldozier only garantess 1833 speed i think it is with only 2 dimms.

A few of the 6 cores mainly the 1090t and the 1100 have played a bit nicer with all dimms full at 1600 and 1.5 volts.  But in no way here will anyone give you voltages for overclocking your ramm with all dimms full at 1600, whatever you use is up to you but STRONGLY  reccomend against it.

Okay that being said when you bought your ram you should of check what default for your board is and bought compatable ram for it. Not trying to sound rude at all just saying a bit more thought around computers is always wise if you want them to last. ( i know have done many stupid things myself in the excuse of wanting to know what would happen if ).

I myself would run them at 1333 and 1.5 volts and tighten the timings as much as i could would pay off more in the end as it would be just as fast as 1600 and last longer..   9-9-9-24 is good at 1.5 and all dimms full at 1600 on the 1090t.  At 1333 id try 8-8-8-24 then after booting id go back and change the 24 to 22 and try it.  Good luck in which way you go.
