UD5 Network Teaming

Reading through the manual of my Gugabyte UD5, it state that it supports teaming for the dual gigabyte ports.

The problem is i cannot find the drivers/utility on the motherboard disk, can anybody point me in the right direction.

Ok so I download and run theWin7 32/64 Auto Installation Program (SID:1364591) 7.006
 
But how do I actually enable the teaming? Where snouts in the Bios is the options?

I have not got a copy of your BIOS screens, but it may come under, integrated peripherals,smart lan,
From what I can gather it is an automated switching facility,
BIOS settings should be in the manual if you haven't got one you can download from gigabyte.tw,
Sorry can't be more helpful, maybe some others with the same mobo can advise you,

Its the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) motherboard just in case any confusion

Smart LAN just looks for potential cable problems.

Ive installed the win 7 drivers but i still can see nowhere to actually team them together to appear as just 1 network connection.

The utility stated on page 90 of the motherboard manual is called 'Realtek Ethernet Teaming Utility'

If you are interested in what utility it was I will link you to it. It's a Vista only tool tho.
You could ask tech support for the file saying it is not on your driver cd

From the mobo specs you have RTL811D realtek chips, just check yours in manual, this is the software link,

Yes i do have the Rtl8111D chips.

All over the manual and motherboard it states thats its possible to team the 2 gigbit ports together.

Really annoys me the fact that they dont give you all the neccessary information and software to actually enable it.

The 'Realtek Ethernet Taeming Utility' which is designed for Vista does not work on Windows 7.

Ive raised a support tickect with Gigabyte and Realtek but so far they are not offering any help

Reading this was like watching someone else follow the same frustrating path I did.  Misery does love company, welcome brother!  Really pisses you off they market a product with "Supports Windows 7" and "Supports Nic Teaming" only to find out it's on Vista only... and therefore the previous statement is false advertising as there was no asteric next to the teaming claim stating vista only.

From what I gather we need the Network diagnostic tool to enable teaming and hopefully Realtek is working on a windows 7 version and there customer Gigabyte is demanding it to provide a feature they've already sold.

Looking forward to what tech support tells you..do share.
