Z68X-UD4-B3 won't boot up

Hello! I have a problem with my new PC built. Yestarday I spent all day trying to locate a problem but unfortunatelly without success.

My configuration is:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3
Processor: Intel Core i5 2500k
Cooler: Noctua nh-d14
Ram: OCZ 2X2GB DDR3 (OCZ3G2000LV4GK)
Graphic card: CLUB 3D 4850 512 MB
Power supply: Cooler Master Silent Pro M 700W
Hard disks: WD 2TB Black Caviar and WD 640 GB
Windows 7 Professional

I conected all devices properly but after I push my power case button nothing happens. I see CPU cooler moves a little bit and few LEDs turn on for about half a second but then it stops. My PC is not able to POST or get into BIOS. I checked that my PSU 12 V4+4 pin is properly insterted since it is very common problem for not booting up. I tried moving rams from dual channel to single channel. Then I tried with only one stick. After that I tried clearing CMOS by placing plastic cap on CMOS jumper and replacing battery with my friends Asus board. Nothing helps! My PSU is good because I just bought it ( my previous had only 4 pins for CPU). I tested it on other machine and it runs smoothly.

What could be the problem? Dead mobo or CPU? What could I still try to fix this problem? Maybe my RAMs are not compatible with mobo? PSU not powerful enough?

About a RAM:

If you have not ensure your RAM is good for your system, have you a posibility to remove it, and try other brands or model of same brands?
Maybe you have a friends or another person... othewise go to shop... and try other ram...

About PSU:
Have you connected the cable 6-pin PCI to graphics cards?

What is your BIOS version?
Never install a Beta Bios version. Is just for tester person, normaly.
So I suggest you install F9 Bios version.

About Flash Bios
Normaly a End Key is for Flash a Bios. When the post appears.

Use a QFlash to reflash BIOS ( Never use @BIOS, because is not good orIt is not the best ..)

I do not know if you've done that ... but I invite you to do so.

I suggest you apply the following instructions (quote from Dark Mantis) ...

If you have plugged everything in correctly then I see no reason why it shouldn't boot. What I would do is to remove the MB from the case and place it on a cardboard box and connect everything back up and see if it will boot out of the case. I'm thinking you might have a short there.

This is a common issue for cpu bent pins, can you take close up clear images of your cpu socket to check there are no damaged pins?
You have a second gen i5 so you'll have intel hd 3000 graphics, so take out your gpu as you don't need it to boot, take out things like dvd drive and leave only one stick of ram too.
I see Gloup has suggested to flash the bios but obviously you can't do that yet if you can't boot.
I'd suggest removing the motherboard from the case, putting it on the box the motherboard came in (or any cardboard box), and install only the necessary items onto the mobo to get it booting, if it works it could be the case shorting the board, check all connectors are correctly in place too!

First of all thx for your fast reply!

I will try other Ram since this version I currently have is pretty extreme one - 2000 Mhz... My graphic card is connected with 6 pin PSU connector too.
You gave me some options for updating BIOS but the problem is that, like I described in my previous message, my PC doesn't even POST and I can't make it to the BIOS. All I can see when I press my power button is my CPU fan moves for half centimeter and some LEDs turn on for about half a second and then nothing. All is shut down.

I tried running machine without RAMs. Don't you think that my motherboard should start producing that beep sound? Well my doesn't. It is the same like with RAMs inserted.

Hey Fatman! All described testings above were made outside the case because I had same thoughts. I placed my mobo on antistatic bag with metal screws from the case attached on the bottom... I hope I did it right?

Hey MiiCK! I  will post close up pictures tomorrow.

Regarding the other part of your suggestion all my testing were made outside the case because I thought about shorting too. I detached my graphic card, my DVD and started only with CPU, HD and one stick of RAM. Even without hard drive and RAM my mobo should start and produce that beep sound if I am not wrong? But no sound, no POST etc.

What about with only 1 stick of ram and cpu? Without a hdd it should get you into the bios.. if your going to sleep you might aswell remove the battery overnight from the motherboard
