I'm having an issue with these three components. When I turn the computer on, sometimes it hangs on the motherboard loading screen and I can't do anything with it (enter bios/boot options/etc.) and must force power off. Other times, it gets bast the bios and begins loading windows, but hangs at the wondows logo and I must force power off. And sometimes, it even boots and I get normal usage, except when I restart, it restarts this whole fiasco. I have updated to the beta bios and this seemed to limit the amount it hangs on the MB logo screen. I think that there is an issue with teh RAM speeds. I have gone in and attempted to manually set the appropriate clock speeds for the RAM, but my knowledge is limited with overclocking. Also, the motherboard fails to maintain the settings I have placed and reverts back to the default RAM speed of 1600. seemingly at random. I need help bad as I've spent over a thousand dollars on this computer and right now, its a paperweight. One thing that might help would be if someone could tell me what clock speeds to put in for the RAM so that it is stable.
What should I put in for these values?
Memory Clock
1T/2T Command Timing
CAS# Latency
RAS to CAS R/W Delay
Row Precharge Time
TwTr Command Delay
Write Recovery Time
Precharge Time
Row Cycle Time
RAS to RAS Delay
Voltage is set to 1.5
Any other ideas are welcome as well.

Hi ther,

as a matter of interest what BIOS version are you currently using?

If you are not using the latest F8d it might be worth trying that to see if it helps. You can download it from here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3908#bios
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

I am having the same exact problem. Apparently, many talked about this issue on the GSKILL site as well as the reviews on Newegg. I  have the same motherboard as the original poster. The specific RAM I have is : GSKILL 4Gx2 F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL 1866.

The moderator at the GSJILL site says that Gigabyte is working on a fix for a Bios update. I download the latest BIOS update from this site, and still can not get my MB to run this memory at 1866.

To Gigabyte, is this true, are you working on a fix for this?
