Problem Description

My problem appeared earlier this week while playing Battlefield 3. I see triangles shapes everywhere while playing. I don't remember changing anything on my system for this to happen. Here are screenshots of the game where you can see my problem (It is much worst in big maps and it messes up the scenery as well) :

When it started I was using the 11.12 Catalyst Drivers, First I tried playing with different screen resolutions, no luck. Then I tried reverting back to 11.11 but it did not fix the problem. Finally, I tried the 12.1 Preview driver but I was still getting the same behavior.

Last night I decided to completely format my system to make sure I did not install something that had caused this so I installed a clean Windows 7 x64, the 11.12 Catalyst Drivers and Battlefield 3, guess what ? Same problem.

From my point of view, everything points to a defective card, does anybody have any other idea or should I get a RMA ?

Thanks !

Serge

I can't personally replicate this problem so I can't say for sure. However, from my experience with graphics cards the first thing you should do is to try the card in a different computer if at all possible just to make sure it's the card. Having said that, it sounds like corruption in the VLIW4 architecture. I'd seek an RMA.  :-\

Unfortunately, I don't have a second computer to make sure it is the graphic card. I guess I'll for a RMA !
