Hello everybody.
I wanna ask you if is possible to use the PCIEX1_1 / PCIEX4_1 slot, for a soundcard.
Actually i need a tv tuner (PCIEX) and i have one more free PCI slot, which is covered by the graphic card. The second PCI is used for the soundcard .
I thought,i sale the soundcard,i buy another one with interface PCIEX1,and where is now the soundcard,i put the tv card.
You think is a god idea ?Thanks.

Hi,
If you can find a short enough sound card then you can use it in that slot, but otherwise, you'll have to put it elsewhere so that it will fit.

Can you give me a link with a "shorter" PCI EX 1 ? Please.  Thanks

Why don't you use onboard sound?
Cheers
Yeah, good question. But i think, there is a big -big -big  difference, between the onboard sound quality, and SoundBlaster X-fi Xtreme Gamer.
To be honest,i didn't really analized the quality between those 2.

Hi,
Onboard sound is these days is very good quality that myself and lots of other users are happy with,I can't really tell the difference as my hearing is shot anyway,
Tell me are you happy with your sound now?, as you don't have a sound card installed?
Cheers from an olod deafie,
