Gtx 560 Ti crashes to 'no signal' screen
« on: January 10, 2012, 09:50:43 pm »
I have recently bought the Gigabyte GeForce Gtx 560 ti to upgrade from the 420 which came with my computer. I have also bought a new PSU as my old one was under powered for this GPU.

I have installed it all correctly within the computer but am having a few problems.

I can load up my computer fine, runs fine and I can even see that the card is working as I can play SWTOR on ultra settings. However, after about 5 -10 minutes the screen will go black and show a 'no signal' screen which will require me to hard reboot my computer.

Now I'm not knowledgable on the in depth working of a computer so not sure on the figures ect. Has anyone else had the problem or can assist with this? I have downloaded the most up to date drivers dictly from the Nvidia site and had them install successfully.

Thanks for the help in advance.

i am having a similar problem with my brand new gtx570. it runs all the normal applications fine, but when i try online gaming or particularly fsx it does exactly the same thing as you describe. the only way out is a hard reset.

i have had no help anywhere as yet. funny that, cause i notice you havent received any help for almost ten days!

Hi

If you are both having the same sort of problem maybe we can sort them out together. From your explanation the card shuts down after a predetermined time of about 10 minutes. This sounds as if it could be heat or time related. What temperatures are you getting from the cards when you find the problem strikes ?
