Q2532N - fail GT 540M
« on: March 06, 2012, 11:19:09 am »
sorry for my broken English
I bought q2532N, installed windows7 sp1, all the drivers from the disk of the set, directX
installed and started testing: 3dmark 2006 = 3500, 3dmark2011 = P475, NFS: the Run 1366 * 768 LOW + Fraps = 1-5 fps.
when tested on the second display: GPU-Z Loading full discrete graphics card gt 540m, nvidia tools is ON, the maximum performance.
Why so little testing showed scores 3dmark, and why the game lags??

cause of low performance video card detected!
during testing 3D graphics chip overheats, causing decreased performance. I realized that by making the experiment, left the apartment, on the street -5 degrees Celsius, ran the same tests and got more points in 3dmark, and about 25 fps in nfs: the run,
I think it is a warranty case, give to the expertise of the guarantee.

Hi and welcome.

I would suggest that you don't use the drivers from the provided disk, it is always better to download them directly from the website as they will be the most recent ones available. I am not saying that this will cure your problem but anything you can do to help is good. I would advise contacting GGTS and see what they can suggest.

hi,Dark Mantis. thanks for the fast reply.
during the test (detection of a fault the laptop), I used a driver from the disk, and the latest drivers from Nvidia site. the result was the same. temperature of the GPU during the tests quickly UP to the maximum. and apparently to avoid burning the video chip in its frequency decreased to the lowest possible (breakdowns throttling). and because of this performance deteriorated sharply. and on this basis, I concluded that my laptop's cooling system is a marriage or marriage of the video chip.
I gave the laptop to be repaired under warranty, and wrote about my case in the ggts
