Are you using the latest BIOS?  If not update to the latest using Qflash or DOS, as that may help.  Also be sure you start with Optimized Defaults in the BIOS and save/apply/reboot BACK to the BIOS then set your SATA settings and anything else you need to change before going to windows again.

If you can't fix it by BIOS update, it might be a BIOS bug, or you could try increasing memory voltage a notch or two and see if that helps.   If not lower it back to specified voltage for your kit.   Then look for cheap CD/DVD burner, they are normally only around $18-20 USD, so you should be able to find one for a cheap price.

Have you tested your memory to be sure it's stable?  I'd suggest at least 5-10 full passes or overnight with the latest Memtest86+
http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

You can also try raising the memory voltage a little bit, sometimes this helps with sleep issues.  What memory do you have anyway, and how much do you have installed?  I can modify a BIOS for you if you want, with an updated J.Micron ROM, that might help, it's only IDE drives that have issues correct?

Hi! Thanks for your reply,
I've downloaded memtest but it didn't work in my machine.
I tried with a USB memory and ISO (CD) (I don't know what's is the problem, because I burned the ISO in a DVD.

I don't know to do it :-(

But I think the motherboard is broken.

Thanks

Did you burn the ISO as an image?   You must burn ISO as an image, you can do this with a ISO burning program, or windows 7 by default has built in ISO burning.   To use windows ISO burning right click the ISO file and choose "Open With, then Windows Disc Image Burner"

Be sure you do not extract the ISO file after you download it!  It comes in a zip file format, but ONLY extract once, after that will be an ISO image, and if you have winrar or winzip installed it may look like another zipped file, but it's not, so be sure you only extract once.

Then, boot to CD from the boot menu at startup

You can't be sure it's the board, and it's probably not, probably just memory errors or incorrect settings.    The board would not be broken for sleep only, if it was broke you would have plenty of other issues.

Oh, yes, I do it, I often use Nero Burning Room, The ISO has some files, I can see when I explored it in the CD,
I'm going to try to burn another time more in a CD and not a DVD but I think it is the same.

Once in awhile I switch on the computer and it is blocked, and I must force shutdown by pressing two or three times, including IDE hard drive I lost the partition (recovered).
I will try again using memtest

Thans.

Thanks, I was just checking if you knew about ISO just to be sure, sometimes users aren't always sure how to use so we have to ask just to be sure.

What do you mean by blocked, did you mean it freezes?   Yes, please test with Memtest86+ linked above, for at least 5-10 full passes or overnight.

OK, thanks for clarifying that for us!

Please let us know how 5-10 full passes of Memtest86+ 4.20 go, thanks!

Looks good, how long did you let it run after that image?

Are you on the latest BIOS?  If not, please update to the latest version using Qflash or DOS.  Then once you've flashed enter the BIOS and load optimized defaults, then save/apply/reboot BACK to the BIOS.   Once in the BIOS again set your SATA settings back to what you need for windows to load, then set memory voltages and any other changes you want to make, then save/apply and reboot to windows and test sleep again.

Jere is the latest BIOSes for your board, if you have rev. 2.0 or 2.1 board, please click those links at the top of the page before you download
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3502#bios

Then also be sure you install the latest Intel RST and INF Chipset drivers.

I reeboot my PC and didn't work IDE HDD after suspending the system.

What version is your motherboard?   Please verify by looking at the board's PCB in the lower left corner near the bottom corner/PCIE slots.  Once you let me know for sure I can modify a BIOS for you with an updated J.Micron ROM (The IDE controller).

Also, all revisions of this board now use a different BIOS name scheme (All letters, no F7, F8, ect), so I think you'll probably need to update using a special tool, so you can get on the latest BIOS releases, if you can't update manually via "Update from Disk" with @BIOS

Why are you using IDE mode for your SATA devices?   Just checking.

Yes, you must be in AHCI mode to install Intel AHCI drivers I linked above, this is suggested!

You will need to make the following registry changes in windows BEFORE you change the BIOS to AHCI.

Enable switching between all IDE/AHCI/RAID modes by changing "Start" Values in these keys to 0 (Win 7 / Vista ONLY)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Msahci\Start
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Pciide\Start
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStorV\Start

If you do not feel comfortable editing the registry, Microsoft has a "Fix it for me" here

When I installed  chipset update, my hard disk IDE didn't work, I have installed in my PC, Windows XP and Windows 7.
I need the 2 SO, because my scanner has drivers for WinXP only.
after installing the driver in windows 7 and reboot, drive letter disappeared.

I use IDE because I have a HDD (80gb) and Optical CD.
SATA is my Boot Drive(Win7x64 and WinXP), and IDE is for my files
