Main BIOS and a Backup BIOS on motherboard

What is DualBIOS™?
Motherboards that support DualBIOS have two BIOS onboard, a main BIOS and a backup BIOS. Normally, the system works on the main BIOS. However, if the main BIOS is corrupted or damaged, the backup BIOS will take over on the next system boot and copy the BIOS file to the main BIOS to ensure normal system operation. For the sake of system safety, users cannot update the backup BIOS manually.

I would like to save the backup bios (B_Bios or BP_Bios) on a usb key for example. I do not want to update it.
So I want to not just save the main bios, but also the backup bios.

I think that saving the main bios in the bios backup is not a solution.

Because I want to access the previous bios saved (B_Bios).
And save it on a external usb key backup.

For example, several new and unwrapped motherboard display bios F2 as a main bios (M_Bios).

But the backup bios is it the same (F2) or is it the factory? Namely F1.

Someone he already check this?

If this is the F1 bios, I would like to save outside the motherboard on a USB key, for example.

What that is trade policy gigabyte in this regard?

The two BIOSes are both writeable but in different ways. The Main BIOS is writeable via QFlash or DOS whereas the Backup BIOS has to be copied across from the Main BIOS. I suppose that you could copy thew Main BIOS to some media like a flash drive and then synchronise both chips. The thinmg is the Backup BIOS will have the file that is loaded at the factory but only as long as you haven't copied a newer version to it.

So is there a function to ensure that the backup bios is to again become the main Bios?

Usually you make a backup of the main bios. But I want the opposite.
I want to return to the old bios. The bios backup becomes the main bios.

They would both be the exact same version when shipped, so whatever you backup from the MAIN when you first install the board that will be the same version that is on the backup, as long as you have not updated either.

I know this because I have the tool they use to flash the BIOSes, it flashes both BIOSes at the same time to the same version, so that is how boards would be shipped out.

I thought this kind of response received. Namely that the versions of bios on the M_Bios and B_Bios are the same.

So I will be prudent and will make regular backup of my bios of my future motherboard on a usb key.

There's really no need to save a factory shipped old BIOS anyway, and often it may not even work with newer CPU's, so you have to be careful when flashing older BIOSes.   It's best to just keep up to date with BIOSes, not save the old ones, know what I mean!

Ahh ya, that's the same as what @BIOS can do for you, but it will only do the main BIOS unless your board has the physical switch then you could switch to the other and back it up too.

Also, be careful, might not be a good / safe choice for Gigabyte users anyway when you have @BIOS to do this (Or the BIOS itself can also do it).
