GA-H61M-USB3-B3 rev 2.0 BIOS error.

Tried it but it does not fire up after a few seconds. Instead the fans spin for one second, then it stops, and that's it, i tried holding power on for a couple of minutes too. Cutting the power half a second in makes no difference either. I bypassed the switch and shorted the power pins directly too.

Any more ideas? Thanks again to everyone.

Get a new motherboard battery, a CR2032, just in case the battery is on the way out. Only cost about one pound.

See if you can get hold of another power supply unit of a reasonable power for testing and swap over the connections for the motherboard at least. That is the 24 pin and the 8 pin connectors. Now try and boot again. What happens now ? What beep code do you get ?

Battery is fine, tried with another power supply again. I can force a beep by removing all ram, otherwise it does not beep.

OK I sent it off for warranty repair or replacement. I was sent out a replacement board (different serial number).

Thanks to all for your help.  8)
