frequent and random bsod with Z77M-D3H
« on: May 14, 2012, 04:06:58 pm »
Hi guys,

I get frequent and random blue screen on windows 7 64bits, sometimes it takes a minutes sometimes it takes an hour. The "reason" of those bsod is always different and the lower part of bluescreenview remains empty that's why i would not blame a driver ( Or am i wrong ? ). Sometimes it just freezes but i get a blue screen nine times out of ten i would say. ( once it froze even before i got to type the first letter of my password on the login screen of windows )

Memtest returns errors after a few minutes in dual channel mode or with just one stick ( regardless of which one it is ) of ram but sometimes it does not return any errors after like 2 hours. Am i really unlucky and got sold 2 faulty sticks? It looks like it's easier/faster to get a bsod when i use the two module at the same time but i might be wrong.

Initially everything in the bios was on auto and then i tried to load the optimized settings after reading stuff on another forum but it didn't fix my problem.

The mother board, cpu, ram and case are brand new and windows has been just installed, drivers for gpu and the mother board are the last to date found on constructors websites.

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Regards

HI

Try changing the BCLK in the BIOS to 100.1 instead of leaving it on Auto.

After trying to set the BCLK  to 100.1 and many other suggestions found in the threads suggested by Deyura ( i was still having the same problem ) I tried to change my bios for the F7 and so far so good! Will let you know if it is not actually fixed.
Thanks for the help!
