Guys I live in India and purchased the AM3+ 880GM-D2H motherboard for my Phenom 960T , the problem with the mobo is I cannot raise my NB above 2400 Mhz and if I do increase the system does not POST so need to reset CMOS. I have downgraded the BIOS the first version today so may try later in the night to raise the NB.  Everything is on stock settings.

Earlier the 960T was sitting on Asus M4A78L- M LE and I could raise the NB to 3000 Mhz without a glitch and also OC the CPU and everything would remain stable in Prime N Linx.

The other thing to reach 4 Ghz for the 960T I require something like 1.5 to 1.55v core voltage where I seen people pulling to 4 Ghz @1.475v , could this be a CPU problem or mobo ?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi and welcome.

As I am sure that you are aware overclocking can be a very temperamental passtime. What works fine on one setup won't work at all on a mirror image of the same setup. You just have to see what will work on your system and make the most of that. Good luck.

Hi Mantis,

 Thnx for the welcome.

Yes I do know that OCing is not always the same , but before I got the 880gm-d2h i had purchased the ga78lmt-s2pt and it had the same problem so I went and exchanged it for the 880GM-D2H.

Anyone facing the same problem with NB overclock ? please if anyone has any idea about it.

I just cannot put NB above 2400 @1.34 CPU/NB and NB V @1.25 have tried on both ga78lmt-s2pt and now on the 880gm-d2h, because this I put the 960T back on my old asus mobo on which I can pull NB to 3000 and it's stable and better performance. As I had already changed the ga78lmt-s2pt for 880gm-d2h the vendor is now not ready to exchange. I have even tried updating the BIOS to FF even that did not help so I downgraded to FA but the problem still persists.

Same thing happened. Earlier the 960T was sitting on Asus M4A78L- M LE and I could raise the NB to 3000 Mhz without a glitch and also OC the CPU and everything would remain stable in Prime N Linx.
