What about the memtest results? Run it with both sticks of RAM, then run on each individually.
There's no place like ::1

Hi,
Sorry to see your having problems setting up the motherboard,
And yes it is difficult to jump up to the new technoligy,
It is a real Challenge, And a very STEEP learning curve as I am finding out too,
It has taken many people on this forum many years to be competant in what they do,
You can't learn it all in a few days or weeks,
Don't give up m8,
Regards

Hi Petdroo

Have you updated the bios to the latest one (F5B)?
http://www.giga-byte.co.uk/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_DownloadFile.aspx?FileType=BIOS&FileID=15286

If not then do it using Q-Flash utility inside your bios setup, for guide check this link:

ZX-S & C64 are still my favourites ;-)

Hi thanks for all your kind advice, yes I did update the bios, twice, even the latest beta one, and still no joy. To be honest I am pretty tech minded but never replaced a mb before.
It seems fairly straight forward, you can not go wrong regarding connections etc. However when it comes to trouble shooting bios settings and hard ware problems then it gets very time consuming and mentally exhausting.Specialy if you are new.
I have sent it back for a refund, as I had no options left. I let you all know how I get on with the new, dare I say it Asus one! A bit put off by this brand now, this forum is good, but the tech support stinks, no phone number, they do not reply to the tech request. And the dealer was just as bad.
