560Ti Windcooler fan struts broken need replacement...
« on: August 14, 2012, 06:00:41 pm »
Hi all can I actually buy a new cooler fan for my 560 Ti OC 900MHz card? I'm from England (UK)

The two struts at the front of the card (top and bottom) have broken some how and I will need to replace if I ever decide to sell it later on...

Can you help?

Hi and welcome.

It sounds as if the card has been dropped or had an impact with something from what you have said. The first place to try would be your retailer and see if they can order one for you from the wholesaler. It will probably mean changing the whle heatsink/fan assembly which could be expensive. The other thing is to see if you can pick one up off Ebay as there are many that are removed to fit watercooling blocks.

Yeah I think it might have broken when I put my tower back on the floor after putting in a new CPU.  There not very sturdy, I have glued them back into place so should be ok for now.  Defo wont need to replace the heatsink as the fans are attached by four screws onto the heat sink which I have cleaned the sink defo to dust and such... I have tried asking gigabyte themselves if they have any spare so will have to wait and see...

Thanks for the response!
