Hi Guys,

I am having an issue with my new motherboard.  And I have already send back one and am now on my second one.  The problem is:

What is happening is that the computer either doesn't boot up or when it does I get the bios just flashing briefly and it ends in purple color screen with nothing else loading. I have been testing with two power supplies already which I know works. A 550w one and a 1000w modular corsair one. But still no joy. Has anyone experienced the same issue? And if so did you manage to solve it?

I am running just the bare minimum, with one memory slot filled and using the built in video.

The boot process ends with A9 and nothing else.

Any assistance is much appreciated.

:)

Hi and welcome.

I cannot believe that two motherboards are displaying the same symptoms so therefore we must look at the environment that they are in. Have you checked for shorts to the chassis ?

I think a good place to start would be a list of the hardware that you have in your system. Please post it here.

Hi there,

With this motherboard I am running a I7 3770 (with the intel cooler that came with it) with 16gb Trancend Jetram (ddr3-1333).  I have a vertex 4 sdd drive in, but not connected. No other cards are plugged in.  Its just the motherboard, processor with fan and with one stick of trancend ram (4x4gb which was tried individually) in.

I checked that everything was connected properly, no runaway screws or anything touching anywhere for it to short.  I've assembeld a couple of motherboards before and never had any type of issues before.

Anything else to look for?
