Wi-Fi share manager on GC-WB300D v. 1.2

Wi-Fi share manager on GC-WB300D v. 1.2
« on: August 05, 2013, 02:33:09 pm »
I'm using a Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H motherboard with latest BIOS + O/S Windows 7.  I installed a Wi-Fi / Bluetooth card GC-WB300D. Bluetooth works. Both Bluetooth & Wi-Fi LEDs light up. Wi-Fi is shown enabled in Network connections. HOWEVER when I open the supplied Wi-Fi share manager it immediately stops working and windows shuts it down. It is also shown as "Disabled" in the notification area. Can anyone suggest what may be causing this. I know my way around the computer but am not an expert. Thanks

I have now solved the problem.  Uninstalled supplied drivers and downloaded (what looked to be the same) new from the Gigabyte website.  Once installed the Wi-Fi share worked OK.  Hope this helps someone else.

Hey, im having same kind of problem now and that re-installing you suggested did not work..  I have too GC-WB300D, (GA-Z87P-D3 ATX motherboard, Windows 7 64-bit) I can open my Wifi-share manager, but it is allways "disconnected". And when i try to make it "hotspot",  my Wi-Fi Share says:  "Wi-Fi Share SoftAP could not be started!". There is also nothing in Network connections but my own ethernet.   I have no idea what to do, spent hours googling and loosing my mind whit this, all drivers are new and card is installed correctly.. (My wifi share manager is newest v.1.0.5.2). Any help would be so great!
