Problems with sleep on GA-Z68XP-UD3P
« on: September 22, 2012, 05:44:16 pm »
Hi, I recently updated to the UEFI BIOS for the GA-Z68XP-UD3P and have issues waking from sleep. Occasionally it will wake and then go back to sleep and continue that way until I turn the PC off from the power source.

As a note, I am running the retail version of Windows 8 Professional.

Are there any settings I should try?

Yes, ditching Windows 8 !  ;D

Seriously I am not that well versed yet with that OS but in Windows 7 I would advise you to make sure that everything was running at default settings  with no overclock and that there was no problems with any component setup. Usually if there is an issue with something sleep is the first thing to suffer. It requires a 100% stable platform to run properly.

I would say double check all your settings for power saving in the BIOS (UEFI) and in Windows itself.

It's not overclocked and the settings are fairly close to default. I think I turned XMP on after I flashed and that's pretty much it.
