Display driver stoped responding.
« on: September 26, 2012, 12:04:47 pm »
Hello, I keep getting this error Display driver stoped responding. on my PC. No matter what I do. Even when I tried to write this topic I got this error, monitor went black for 3 sec and came back again. I can't play any game, or browse any website without fear of getting this error and having my monitor going black, and eventually my PC resseting on it's own. Do you know what I could do about this? I tried to use diffrent versions of nvidia drivers, with no success. I tried to up my cards voltage  with MSI Afterburner which helped a bit allowing to play for 1,5 h in skyrim up to the moment when it went black again popping the error.
To my suprise I got this error once when my geforce was taken out and I was using my intergrated Intel 2000 card. Please help. I don't know what to do.

Hi and welcome.

The first thing to do is to update your BIOS to the latest version.
Then load Optimised BIOS defaults and save.
Next synchronise the two chips which will also copy the profiles.
Now update the firmware on your graphics card.
Install the latest drivers for the GPU making sure to clean off all residue of the old ones.

If you still have any problem with it try removing anything that isn't required and test from there.
