GA-Z77X-D3H hotplug problem
« on: October 09, 2012, 07:51:44 am »
Hi, i recently switched from GA-990FXA-UD5 to  GA-Z77X-D3H. Almost everything wors well but i have problem with hotplug option. On my previous motherboard it worked well, i just pull out the HDD and put another in and it worked well. On new mobo when i remove hdd Windows still have it in devices manager, i must manually enter there and right-click remove device. Hotplug option is enabled for this particular sata port. System is windows 7 64bit. Drivers installed. What should i do?

Hi there,

I have faced this problem since switching from the AMD platform as well.

I found the best thing to do is to install a small programme called Hotswap (from here: http://mt-naka.com/hotswap/index_enu.htm ) which makes the whole process a bit easier to do.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.
