M750-SLI bios - unstable?
« on: October 29, 2009, 10:40:26 pm »
I updated the BIOS on my M750-SLi to f8f (F7) and have noticed its pretty unstable. One thing i notice at boot is the sys memory info has changed from DDR2 800 to DDR2 800 unganged mode.

After googling a bit Ive fathomed that there is problems with the Phenom II X4 940 and unganged memory but I dont understand what it is?

What is unganged mode, can this be changed in BIOS?

Ive flashed back to F7 and its still BSOD. If i knew how to read BSOD error logs I might learn something.

Very good, thanks.

Therefore:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL

Code Meaning : Faulty device drivers, or services from backup

I will have to explore this.  I see the difference between ganged and unganged.  Why does this occur with the latest bios though?
