Hi,
I've noticed that several of Gigabyte motherboards, among others GA-P55A-UD4 and GA-P55-UD6, have pinout mismatches compared to Intel's referance design for HDA.
According to the manual of the GA-P55A-UD4, the board's HDA pinouts are:
1 MIC2_L
2 GND
3 MIC2_R
4 -ACZ_DET
5 LINE2_R
6 GND
7 FAUDIO_JD
8 No Pin
9 LINE2_L
10 GND
But according to Intels reference design, it should be:
1 PORT 1L
2 GND
3 PORT 1R
4 PRESENCE#
5 PORT 2R
6 SENSE1_RETURN
7 SENSE_SEND
8 KEY Connector Key
9 PORT 2L
10 SENSE2_RETURN
For some reason pin 6 and 10 are grounded by Gigabyte, when they should in fact be representing jack detection return for port 1 (mic) and 2 (headphones).
Can anyone give some input on why this is?
Thanks in advance!
