How do you debug Beeps 1 long, 2 short: Graphics Error with onboard graphics ?

Hi
I'm trying to discover the fault with a new system I'm building (all new parts)
I'm using:
Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H Socket 1155 VGA DVI HDMI 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
Intel Core i5 3350P 3.10GHz Socket 1155 Quad Core
4x CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10 32gb Ram
450w Coolmaster PSU (All PSU and onboard Fans are on and Working fine)
USB Keyboard (shows Power when switched on)
1gb SATA3 Drive (disconnecting has no effect)
No other cards of devices are connected.
I'm using the onboard graphics which fail to produce any video from any connector
I've tried HDMI,DVI and VGA on two different monitors and different cables
Reseating all connections and Ram has been unfruitful
I've cleared the NVRam again with no results.

I just get the 1 long and 2 short beeps on power up.
So can you tell me how should I proceed if I'm using the onboard graphics and I get the 1 long and 2 short beep configuration
That I believe Indicates a Monitor or Graphics Card error. What can I do with onboard graphics ?

Hi there,

1 long 2 short could also be ram problems as the video uses system ram, I noticed you re-seated all ram chips but have you tried running with just 1 or 2 chips?

Failing that it could be your board, noticed that your PSU is low wattage, may or may not be the problem, I have a corsair TX650 on my system.

You seem to have run all standard tests, hopefully you get it working, let us know how you get on.

Ben.

Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3R-B3
i7 2600 (4.00GHZ)
Ripjaws X 2@8GB XL (1.7V)
Kingston Blu Hyper 2@2GB (1.7V)
Corsair TX 650
HD 6870 1gb
blu ray + dvd
1T wd hdd
500gb WD hdd
Gigabyte Armor+MX case
Noctua air cooling (4 fans)
AOC 27'
Win 8 pro Full

PSU Wattage was misquoted should have said 500w.
Will try less memory and let you know
Hoping GIGAByte support will get back in short order. This build was supposed to be Xmas present for my son...
May have to buy another motherboard to swap in as a fall back if I cant find a solution.

Changing memory configuration had no effect.
But I did try adding a video card and Managed to get video by putting a video card in !
Will have to go back an check the onboard video to see if its broken or just in an odd state but
the new video card seems to work ok.

Hi again,

So seems it may have been your on-board graphics at fault.

At least you have got it working, that's good news.
