Gigabyte MA785GT-UD3H
« on: January 12, 2010, 10:15:09 pm »
Hello,

I'm trying to figure out what would be a good graphics card recommendation for my motherboard (MA785GT-UD3H). I dont really know if whether i should get a single or crossfire connection for it because it allready has nice graphics in-built (DX-10). Can anyone give me some advice or different points of view to what graphics card would be a good choice for this motherboard.

Thanks  :)

Hi,
It all depends on what you require your pc for, gaming topend, general web surfing, email,DX11, video rendering?
Any of the latest g/cards will work on that mobo,
How much do you want to spend is also another question £30>£500?
If your happy with the o/board graphics only upgrade when you encounter a problem,
Cheers

Hey,
Thanks for the reply, id like a computer based on gaming with nice graphics. My current setup and parts is this:
- MA785GT-UD3H mobo
- AMD phenom II 955
- Thermaltake evo 550 watt gaming psu
- Thermaltake V9 chassis

I was thinking of geting a 5700 series from ati, maybe a 5770 or crossifre 4870 im not sure.
What do you think would be a good card?

Cheers

4870's are cheaper now and are very good.
The 5xxx drivers are still very buggie,so since I already had 1 4870 I decided to save $300.and
 got another4870 for crossfire x.
Saved a lot of money and got great results.

Newer graphics cards require power.your power supply might not meet the needs of the cards.
Probably have to upgrade. Good luck. ;)
