Is there an actual driver just for the chipset on this board. I downloaded the latest chipset drivers from the gigabyte site but they contain ATI drivers, LAN Drivers and sound drivers etc. Am I being stupid here? are there no drivers for the actual chipset. I am sure when I built my previous systems that there were drivers for the actual chipset.

I havent installed chipset drivers since i went to windows 7. OS takes care of it and you just need the sound, lan the ati drivers are your chipset drivers.

When I go to install the ATI drivers it tells me that everything is up to date as I have an AMD gpu so I installed the latest driver from AMD for that.

Then your chipset drivers are installed as they are part of the package along with your usb drivers for amd chipset. You are good to go.
