Just setup your raid and install the OS. If you haven't played around with windows 8.

There is a start button you can add. It is called Startisback. When it ask you to put in a password don't.

Unless you want one. That start is back program is very nice. It makes  it look like windows 7

Make sure your BIOS is updated to the one you need.  I have problems installing FH using q-flash.  @BIOS does not work on my Windows 8 Pro.  After upgrading Windows 8 Pro, I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate on a different hard drive just encase I need to re-flash BIOS FH.

That is funny because the computer that I'm testing it on has a x58-DS4 with the bios 03/11/2010. I'm not having any problem with it.

My son in law has it on a x58-UDER v2.0 and he isn't having any problem with it and not using the latest bios.

I'll have to check which bios he has on the board. Oh that is right that was one of boards and I don't update the bios unless I'm having a problem.

So if this is true than it still has the FF bios on it.

I have problems installing FH using q-flash.

How are you doing it. From windows or a flash drive. I'm old school and I still flash from a flash drive that is bootable.

Just put it on a flash drive boot into the bios and do the Q-flash from there. It should find it.

FF will load and update BIOS using a thumb drive using q-flash in BIOS.  FH will not.  Tells me it is the Incorrect File Size, even from a bootable thumb drive (FAT, FAT32, or NTFS).  I cannot update BIOS in Windows using Windows 8 Pro.  I have downloaded @BIOS Windows 7 64 Utility, but it will not install.  There is no Windows 8 32 or 64 @BIOS Utility.

It's all good.  If everything worked perfect all the time, I would be worried!  :'(

I have win8 pro and X58A-UD3R 2.0
@BIOS works nicely and have just recently flashed to FH bios.

Besides that, I have some issues with my Firewire drivers and my Nvidia NVS450 card.
