I recently purchased an ATI HD7950 graphics card as an upgrade. It is PCI-e 3.0, but I have an ivy-bridge (22nm) cpu. From what I had read, this (and the newest BIOS revision) is all which is necessary to make PCI-e 3.0 functional on this motherboard.
Upon installing the card, my computer is able to boot up completely (I hear the Windows login sound), but I get no video signal to my monitor at any point, not even the BIOS screen. I tried re-seating the card but it did not help. I swapped my old card back in and everything is working properly.
I suspected that the issue was the new video card, but I already received a new one via RMA, and I am still getting the same issue.
Please offer any help you can.
