Driver info needed
« on: March 31, 2013, 08:49:51 pm »
Hi,  I just did a clean install of windows 7 x64 and have misplaced my installation dvd.  I have a ga-970-ud3 and can't figure out what driver I need for the PCI Simple Communications Controller.

That should be the Chipset driver, if I remember correctly.

You can download the drivers for your motherboard from here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4396#dl but double check your motherboard revision number before doing so, as there are several revisions for this motherboard.
Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help! It won't solve the problem but it will make you feel better.

In my opinion it may be about the IOMMU (not sure though).
Is this enabled in BIOS ?!

If yes and you are not using the feature disable it
There should be a driver in the AMD chipset package to neutralize the issue ,null device driver or something like that.

Over & Out !

AMD FX (APU-s included) users should install - KB2645594 & KB2646060 under Windows 7

1.ASUS Sabertooth 990FX 2.0 + FX 6300 + H60
2.MSI A88X-G41 PC Mate + A8 5600K + Hyper TX 2
3.Gigabyte F2A75-D3H + A4 5300
4.ASUS AM1M-A + Athlon 5150
