Issue with GA990XA-UD3
« on: April 10, 2013, 09:27:30 pm »
I have an issue that i dont understand, i hope someone at gigabyte can help me

i have a amd 1075t, and at bios it says my normal cpu voltage is 1.42v so i can add some voltage to it, or not (which to me is the correct one) showing the same inside windows.

but if i change settings to manual and reset the computer, when i check what the stated normal voltage for the cpu is, it now says 1.2750v both in the bios or in cpuz in windows.

why? ive tried the f9, f12 f13 and now the f14b bios, happens the same with all of them.

if i set it to auto and restart it goes back to show the correct 1.42v.

whats happening? is it a compatilibity issue with the 1075t or just a flaw in my board? does it have something to do with any other settings? could there be a bios update to fix this?

i couldnt edit my previous post so ive been furiously testinf every variable in which i change anything and i think i found out the culprit:

whenever i change the memory multiplier to below 6.66, to say, 5.33, when i restart to make it effective the bios recognizes my cpu was it being 1,2750.

of course i tested it and obviously that was unstable even with everything at default settings and underclocked.

since this issue seems to happens with all bioses, can i get a fix for it?

I have come across this "issue" on my own AMD motherboards and once I discovered it I just ignored it as a BIOS glitch and worked around it.

The only possible way, that I can think of to get a fix, would be to contact Tech Support and see if they can do something with the BIOS for you.

Do you really think they take the time to fix such bug on such motherboard  when they  just launched the new Intel series boards :)
