motherboard not reconizing speed /MHZ of ram memory

hi new to computing
  i have bought a M85M-US2H MOTHERBOARD running a amd athlon11x250 processor 3ghz  & 2x1gb crucial ballistix 8500-DDR2 -1066 memoy
on start up it is only showing 800 ddr2 memory and bandwidth of pc2-6400(400 mhz ) instead of 8500
if any can help i  would very grateful

You must open the bios memory settings and adjust them to that specific speed memory, the board defaults to 800 Mhz automatically.
However I hope you have a case with plenty fans....setting the memory to a higher speed makes it run quite hot...On my setup I have 1600 memory and run it at 1066, just to save heat, the computer is quite fast, even with the memory under-clocked.
The only time to set the memory to max speed is probably for gaming applications...
The instructions are kind of hazy when it comes to setting all the memory timings...but you can do it for sure.
With the Bios reset you can be fairly certain it will read 1066... :o

Yeah as nicolatesla stated you will need to manually change the mem settings. Change timings, volts + system multi. The timings and volts should be listed on the memory itself or the packaging.
