I have a Seagate 160 GB IDE hard drive in which I Windows 7 installed and the system boots up fine. I also have 2 SATA Seagate 1.5TB drives that I have setup with RAID 1 using the onboard raid controller. While in the BIOS, I see the RAID drives as one of the bootable drives (SCSI-0 RAID Ary 1), so it seems the raid drives are functioning properly. Also, in the BIOS, I have the OnChip SATA Type = RAID and OnChip SATA Port 4/5 Type = As SATA Type
The problem that I am having is that when Windows boots up, the RAID drives do not show up.
Did I miss a step when I was installing Windows?
I would like to keep Windows on separate drive and use the RAID drives as my data store.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
