I am having trouble getting my HD 4550 512mb video card to play well with my Gigabyte P35-DS3L motherboard. I have downloaded the latest driver and reverted back to an older driver, but still having stability issues. Constant rebooting from S3 standby mode.
The video card is marked as 512mb, and the picture in the manual depicts the card to be 512mb but the card reports as having 1024mb when installed. Okay, this would be great, since I only paid for 512mb card, but the card is not compatible with my m/b which is also made by Gigabyte.
In checking the products from Gigabyte, this card doesn't exist. They do make a HD 4550 1gb card but the part number and design layout is different then the HD 4550 512mb card.
I am hoping that someone from Gigabyte, or anyone, will read this post and offer an explanation.
