BOIS for P67A-UD3-B3
« on: May 22, 2013, 09:34:15 pm »
I'm currently on F2 of the BIOS for this board. That is 2 years old.

Now, I know that updating BIOS is not something to be done routinely and especially if there's no real need to do it and certainly, my system is running well, but while chatting about BIOS with some friends I saw that there's a UEFI for my board now.

I was wondering if there's any real benefits to using these new systems? If I decide to plump for a BIOS update, should I go for the oldfashioned F9 which is the latest BIOS, or go for the new fangled UEFI?

Thanks,

Paul

That is up to the person that is doing it. But with older boards I have read a lot about people going to the UEFI having problems.

You can try it and do what they tell you to do when updating to that bios too.

I myself would not put that bios on a older board. I would just go for the F9.

That is exactly what I did. Working well so far, thanks. :)
