You should read the second item in this forum

If I understand you correctly you can not get a good boot after you have by some means oc'd the memory to 1600.  Read the above referenced article and see if it doesn't answer your question.

Thanks for your answer. reading what you sent me is for AM3, but I have AM3 + FX8350, and supports 1600 ...

Greetings,

My point of referring you to that article is that Gigabyte has decided that 1333 is the base memory speed that they are comfortable supporting.  If you want to 'oc' their spec's you will need to use cpu-z to get a profile of the various settings available, then go into bios and do a full manual mod.  I wasn't trying to say that you can't run your memory at 1600.  Just offering that to do it will require a very specific and determined effort to over ride the system's safety protocol.

Rarely seen more than one stick of a Kingston memory kit to run the specs in the label on my AMD rigs. One stick will run most probably the rated speed.

The CPU takes 2 sticks of 1866 Mhz just fine ,officially.

For me DDR1600 (HyperX) is running just fine with an oldish X6 CPU - just leave everything on Auto in the bios and select the XMP 1600 profile - that's all it takes.
