B75M-D3H Optimal Settings for Linux?

Brand new PC build using a B75M-D3H + Kingston SSD + Nvidia GTX 660

• UEFI is new to me.
  
• Mobo manufacturers implement features using different naming conventions.
• Win8 is stable on this configuration for several weeks so the hardware checks out as ok.

I'm struggling a little to figure out what if any BIOS settings need to be altered to install a UEFI supporting Linux such as Linux Mint 15.
Obvious starting point is to enter the BIOS & choose Reset to Optimal BIOS settings (or words to that effect).. and then??

Initial trial to install various Linux distro's resulted in very unstable system.
What do I need to change in the BIOS to make it happy guy's?

Are you in dual or trial boot configuration situation ?

If yes... UEFI are not able to make this...

But he exist a software for UEFI bios on dual, trial boot...

So, come here again, give us a news about your situation...

Clean install of Linux ONLY to SSD.
No other OS present.

Ubuntu 13.04 - installer crashes. Unable to install.
Xubuntu 12.04 - installer crashes. Unable to install.
Fedora 18 - installer crashes. Unable to install.
Kubuntu - installed but highly unstable.
Manjaro 0.8.6 - installer crashes. Unable to install.
Linux Mint 15 - installed but highly unstable.

After more testing it seems UEFI BIOS presents great problems to any Linux distro at this time.
It also appears that the nVidia drivers are very problematic as well.

Windows 8.0 & WIndows 8.1 both install and work perfectly.
Good job Microsoft in preventing users from choosing ANYTHING but your OS.

Sabayon Linux 13.04 (http://www.sabayon.org/)

Installs and works pretty much flawlessly on this hardware combination with all BIOS settings at Optimal for Windows 8.x (go figure..).

At last I found a solution!
